Ten anti-regime groups in Myanmar accept an invitation to peace talks

Myanmar authorities reported that ten anti-regime armed groups accepted an invitation to attend peace talks in Yangon. The militant groups included the  Restoration Council of Shan State/Shan State Army (RCSS/SSA), Arakan Liberation Party (ALP), New Mon State Party (NMSP), Democratic Karen Buddhist Army (DKBA), the KNU/KNLA Peace Council, Pa-Oh National Liberation Organization (PNLO), and the Lahu Democratic Union (LDU). In addition, the United Wa State Army (UWSA), National Democratic Alliance Army (NDAA-Mongla), and Shan State Progressive Party (SSPP), which have not yet signed the NCA, will attend the peace talk. This event took place on 05/10/2022 at the following location: Yangon, Myanmar.
