Sudanese rebel groups agree to withdraw from Libya

Seven Sudanese rebel groups agreed to withdraw their forces from Libya after a meeting early this month. The meeting was convened by the French organization Promendiation on 10-12 June and was attended by representatives from the UN, the US, the EU, Norway, Turkey, and Egypt. The rebel groups are made up of approximately 30,000 men who have been fighting alongside the Libyan military commander Khalifa Haftar, longtime leader of the Libyan National Army (LNA), and are based in the east of the country.
