The US military reported that the ISIS terrorist leader Abu al-Hassan al-Hashemi al-Quraishi, and a companion blew themselves up with suicide belts in mid-October after being surrounded by Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters in the town of Jasem in southern Deraa province. An ISIS spokesman identified the new leader as Abu al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Qurashi. This event took place on 12/01/2022 at the following location: Jasem, Syria.
