Taliban forces rescued a doctor who was being held hostage in the village of Siyavshan, Herat province, Friday night. Three of his kidnappers were killed, and two others were captured during the operation. One rifle was seized from the kidnappers. This event took place on 10/27/2023.

NRF rebel commander, six Taliban fighters killed in Nuristan Province
The National Resistance Front (NRF) reported that one of its commanders and six Taliban fighters were killed during a clash with Taliban forces in front of the commander's home in the Bajgal Valley of Duab district, Nuristan province on Saturday. 15 other Taliban members reportedly defected to join the NRF.
