Over the past day, we've mapped 42 events with the following breakdown by event category.

Four of the six prisoners that escaped from Gilboa prison earlier this week have been recaptured.  Protests in support of the fugitives have taken place over the past few days and rockets were fired into Israel after two of the prisoners were recaptured.  Israel has responded with airstrikes.  More violence is likely over the next few days as both sides respond to the evolving situation.

Israeli airstrikes targeted Hamas rocket-launching positions, a storage facility, and a facility used as part of the terrorist group’s terror tunnel enterprise in Gaza Friday night. Israel arrests two more fugitives
Israel arrested two more fugitives that escaped from Gilboa prison earlier this week. The location and details of the arrests are not known. Four of the six escapees have now been captured.
Palestinian shot and killed for an attempted stabbing attack
A Palestinian attempted to stab police officers in Jerusalem’s Old City, but he was shot and killed.

Catalan separatists are preparing for talks with the Spanish government and protests are planned over the weekend.  Travelers should remain alert in the coming weeks, as more protests are likely.

Catalan protests in Barcelona on Saturday
Catalan separatists are expected to take to the streets of Barcelona on Saturday, which is Catalonia’s National Day, ahead of negotiations with the government set to resume next week.

Islamic State attacks in Iraq have increased in frequency over the past several weeks.  Fears of a resurgence of the group are growing and counter-terror operations also continue to pick up.    

ISIS IED blasts kill four people, wounds nine others
Two ISIS IED blasts killed a policeman and three civilians in the villages of Haj Ali and Al-Khattab near the town of Makhmour early Saturday morning. Nine others were wounded in the attacks.
