Afghan evacuation flights stopped

Afghan evacuation flights have been stopped for the past two weeks over a Taliban demand that they are allowed seats onboard US-chartered Qatar Airways flights between Kabul and Doha.  The Taliban wants to send fighters and sympathizers to other countries to work and send money back to Afghanistan and the Taliban is arguing they should be given seats since Qatar is using their airspace.  US State Department officials are hopeful that flights will resume shortly. This event took place on 12/23/2021 at the following location: Kabul International Airport, Afghanistan.
