Somalia pirates add anti-aircraft artillery to hi-jacked vessel

A security source reports that Somali pirates have increased their security on the Bangladeshi vessel MV Abdullah by adding anti-aircraft weaponry. This is in response to a recent raid by Indian navy commandos that resulted in the capture of 35 pirates and the liberation of another ship, MV Ruen. The pirates also deployed anti-aircraft weapons onshore in Somalia to fend off any aerial assaults This event took place on 03/21/2024 at the following location: Indian Ocean, Somalia.
