Second day of indigenous protests over fuel prices in Ecuador

Indigenous protesters continued to block roads with trees and burning tires in Ecuador as they called for lower fuel prices.  President Guillermo Lasso deployed security forces to highways to maintain order and called for a dialogue with the demonstrators.  The protesters want diesel fuel capped at $1.50 per gallon and petrol capped at $2 per gallon. This event took place on 10/27/2021 at the following location: Pichincha, Ecuador.
