On Thursday, at least 11 soldiers were killed and 19 others injured in an ambush in Pakokku Township, Magwe Region. The attack was carried out by local resistance groups using a heavy makeshift land mine. The targeted military vehicle, carrying 33 soldiers, was destroyed in the blast.
