Papuan separatists shot at a civilian passenger aircraft shortly after it took off from the Dekai Airport in the Yahukimo district on Saturday. After landing in Jayapura, a gunshot hole was noted in the bottom of the fuselage. The bullet was lodged in a passenger's seat. A passenger was injured by a bullet splinter. Iraqi forces arrest 86 terrorists, seize weapons in Diyala governorate
Iraqi forces arrested 86 terrorists and seized a large number of weapons during operations in the Diyala governorate between last Friday and Saturday. Five pistols, 55 rifles, four hunting rifles, a 60-millimeter mortar, seven sound pistols, a smoke grenade, 18 vehicles, 160 motorcycles, a mobile phone, and ammunition were recovered during the operations. At least 443 Boko Haram terrorists and their family members surrendered to government forces in Gueskerou, Republic of Niger between 7-10 March. The surrenders came after ISWAP and Boko Haram militants clashed in Nigeria's Borno State during the first week of March that resulted in at least 300 Boko Haram militant deaths. At least 18 people were killed and 15 others were wounded during clashes between vigilantes and terrorists in Katsina State on Saturday. The clashes started after vigilantes clashed with terrorists who were attending a wedding party in the village of Majifa. The clash spread to the villages of Makera and Gidan Jifau.
