Police arrested a German man near Passau on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack in Frankfurt on Wednesday. He was allegedly planning a shooting attack in Frankfurt and having researched how to build explosive devices online and procuring a stabbing weapon that he kept in his parent’s garage. He was attempting to leave the country for Iraq and join the Islamic State group at the time of his arrest. This event took place on 03/08/2023.
