Ansar al-Islam member arrested in Dhaka
Police have arrested an 18-year-old suspected member of the banned militant organization Ansar al-Islam in Dhaka. The individual, identified as Abrar Hossain, is accused of promoting the establishment of a Khilafat state online and working as a liaison between jailed militants and those outside. He was arrested by the Anti-Terrorism Unit in the Shahbagh area of the capital. Abrar is also involved in a case under anti-terrorism laws at Dhaka Railway Police Station.
