Mortar attack kills five people in Kurram district
Five people were killed when a mortar shell hit a bunker during clashes between Para Chamkani and Turi tribesmen in the Kurram district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P). The clashes began four days ago when five Turi clansmen were kidnapped by the rival Chamkani faction. The hostages were later released after negotiations by the district administration with both factions. Clashes continued, however, and intensified with both sides using firearms and mortar attacks.
