The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan (NRF) claimed to have conducted an attack on a Taliban checkpoint in Kabul, resulting in the death of two Taliban members and the injury of two others. Mayoral candidate killed in Celaya
A mayoral candidate was assassinated and three others injured in a shooting in Celaya, Mexico. Bertha Gisela Gaytán, the candidate for Celaya, died in the attack. Another candidate, Adrián Guerrero, is currently missing. The killings are part of a series of violent incidents leading up to Mexico's general election on June 2. Gaytán was campaigning for Morena, the party of President López Obrador. The president condemned the attack and called for justice. This event took place on 04/02/2024.

Nigerian forces rescue nine hostages in Niger Delta region
On Monday, Joint Task Force in the Niger Delta, Operation Delta Safe Forces, rescued nine kidnap victims who were abducted on March 29 in the Niger Delta region.
