On Sunday, six civilians were injured when Taliban guards opened fire on them in Helmand province. The incident occurred in the Gerishk district. Gunmen kill nine people, wound 10 others in Ecuador
On Saturday, gunmen attacked a group of people in Ecuador's coastal city of Guayaquil, killing nine and injuring 10 others. The incident occurred in the southern neighborhood of Guasmo, where the armed group arrived in a grey Chevrolet Spark and opened fire on a group of people practicing sports on a pedestrian street. Haiti


Clashes reported in Port-au-Prince
Heavy gunfire erupted in downtown Port-au-Prince as police clashed with gang members near the National Palace. One policeman was shot, and an armored car was set on fire. The gunfire trapped scores of people while others managed to escape. Gangs have been attacking government infrastructure for over a month, including police stations and prisons. The violence has resulted in over 1,500 deaths and 800 injuries. Prime Minister Ariel Henry plans to resign once a transitional council is established. This event took place on 04/01/2024.

Arrests made in connection with the Gan Yavne attack
Police have arrested two residents of the south who transported the terrorist responsible for a terror attack in Gan Yavne. The suspects will appear in court for a detention hearing. Three people were seriously wounded in the attack at a mall in the southern Israeli city. The 19-year-old Palestinian attacker was shot dead by security officers. This event took place on 04/01/2024.

Drone hits a Navy base in Eilat
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that a building in Eilat was hit by a drone launched from Iraq. The building, located at the Navy base, sustained damage, but no injuries were reported. The incident is currently under investigation. Earlier, the IDF detected a suspicious aerial target entering Israeli airspace from the east, which then impacted the Eilat Bay area. Sister of Hamas leader arrested
A sister of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Sabah Avad al-Salam Haniyeh, has been arrested on suspicion of supporting acts of terror and having contact with Hamas operatives. The arrest was made during a joint raid by Israel Police and the Shin Bet. Evidence linking her to serious security offenses, including support for the October 7 massacre, was found at her home.
