Emergency declared due to continued protests in Yemen

The Southern Transitional Council in southern Yemen declared emergency measures to stop continual protests in Aden and other areas. People are protesting the dire living conditions amid unprecedented drops in the value of the local currency. Forces deployed tear gas and used batons to disperse protestors on Wednesday. At least seven people were wounded. This event took place on 09/17/2021 at the following location: Aden, Yemen.
