A coordinated security operation between Morocco and France successfully thwarted a terrorist plot targeting a religious site in Rabat. Last Friday, June 28, the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ), part of Morocco's General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), arrested a 21-year-old female student linked to the Islamic State (ISIS) who was planning the attack. During a search of the individual's home, DGST forces recovered flammable substances, extremist manifestos advocating violence, and books promoting intolerance and takfir ideology, all confirming the violent ideological underpinning of the plot.
