Gunmen attacked the secretariat of the Ihiala Local Government Area (LGA) of Anambra State early Thursday morning. Four vigilante operatives guarding the secretariat and one assailant were killed in the attack. The assailants opened fire at the secretariat and used IEDs that destroyed many buildings. Joint force members engaged the attackers and repelled them from causing further damage. This event took place on 01/12/2023 at the following location: Ihiala, Nigeria.
