Regime airstrikes kill 50 people in Maungdaw

On Monday, regime airstrikes hit a former military position captured by Arakan Army insurgents approximately five kilometers east of Maungdaw Township, killing more than 50 people. The insurgents at the base have detained prisoners, including members of the primarily Muslim Rohingya community who joined a pro-junta militia. The AA stated that regime forces also bombed a UN building in the village of Wai Thar Li. This event took place on 09/09/2024 at the following location: Maungdaw, Myanmar.
