President Trump imposes new travel bans on 12 countries

US President Donald Trump signed a new travel ban on Wednesday targeting 12 countries. The ban prohibits all nationals from Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen from traveling to the United States. Trump also enacted a partial travel ban affecting seven countries: Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela. However, some temporary work visas from these nations will still be permitted. The bans go into effect on June 9.
