On Sunday, Nigerian troops killed five Boko Haram terrorists during a fierce gun battle in the Ladin Buttu axis of the Sambisa Forest Reserve. Several other terrorists fled the area with gunshot wounds. Following the confrontation, soldiers retrieved three AK-47 rifles, five fully loaded magazines, and additional military ordnance thought to have been accumulated for future assaults.
