A Mali court sentenced 46 soldiers from Cote d'Ivoire to 20 years in prison for conspiring against the government. Three others were sentenced to death in absentia. Mali says the soldiers were working as mercenaries for Sahel Aviation Service. Cote d'Ivoire says they were working in Mali on behalf of the United Nations and the detentions are hostage-taking.
