Thousands of Hindus protest across Bangladesh
Around 30,000 protesters gathered in Chattogram as police and soldiers guarded the area. Others protested across the county as well. The protests followed claims by Hindu groups that thousands of attacks had occurred since early August when the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was overthrown in a student-led uprising. However, interim leader Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel laureate, disputes the reported scale of these alleged attacks. Another rally is planned for tomorrow in Dhaka. This event took place on 11/02/2024.
