Sudan


General Dagalo chosen to lead the parallel government in RSF-held areas of Sudan
Gen Mohamed Dagalo, leader of Sudan‘s Rapid Support Forces (RSF), has been chosen to lead an alliance comprising political parties and rebel groups, which is viewed as a move toward establishing a parallel government in regions controlled by the paramilitary. The Foundation Alliance, also known as Taasees, convened in Nyala, a city controlled by the RSF in Darfur, on Tuesday. They appointed a 31-member leadership team with Gen Dagalo serving as its head.
