70 Islamic State militants surrender in Nangarhar
70 Islamic State militants, including children, surrendered to Taliban authorities in Nangarhar province. The surrender was negotiated through tribal elders in the province. The militants were pardoned by a decree issued by the head of the Taliban government. This event took place on 01/20/2022.
