Suspected rebels kill nine people in the Arsi Zone of Ethiopia
Last Thursday, November 28, suspected Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) rebels attacked villagers in the Arsi Zone of the Oromia Region, killing nine people. The insurgents also abducted four other people during the attack. An OLA spokesman denied involvement in the killings. This event took place on 12/01/2024.

RSF establishes civilian administration in Khartoum State
The Civilian Foundress Council (CFC) in Khartoum, established by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), elected Professor Abdellatif El Hasan as the head of the new civil administration on Friday. The CFC comprises 90 members representing all Khartoum, Omdurman, and Khartoum North localities. The members include representatives from youth, women, native administration, professional groups, and Sufi orders. Professor Nayel Babikr was elected as the CFC's president.
