Protests against the prime minister continue in Thailand as calls for his resignation grow.  

Anti-government protests in Bangkok on coup anniversary
Anti-government protesters took to the streets of Bangkok on the 15th anniversary of a coup that removed former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra from power. Protesters called for the resignation of current Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha. Hundreds took part in the protest as demonstrators drove

For the second day in a row, an attack was seen in Jalalabad.  The attack on Saturday was claimed by ISIS-K and today's was also likely carried out by the group.  Attacks in Jalalabad are likely to continue in the weeks to come as ISIS-K tests the Taliban's ability to maintain security in the country.

Deadly IED blast in Jalalabad
An IED bomb blast struck a truck carrying Taliban border police forces in Jalalabad on Sunday. At least five people were killed in the attack, including two civilians. It is unknown who was responsible for the attack. Jalalabad is the heartland of the Islamic State in Afghanistan.

The Islamic State continues to launch attacks in Iraq at a growing pace.  Security forces must increase operations against the group as they target more populated areas.  

Iraqi militia thwarts ISIS attack in Mosul
Iraqi militia forces thwarted an attack by ISIS militants during operations in southeast Mosul on Sunday. There were no immediate reports of casualties from the attack.
Iraqi forces thwart a terrorist attack on Arbaeen pilgrims
Iraqi security forces thwarted an ISIS terrorist attack on Arbaeen pilgrims during operations in Musayyib, Babil province on Saturday. There were no immediate reports of casualties.

Al-Shabab attacks are continuing in Somalia as the country sees political instability due to ongoing conflict between the president and prime minister.  Al-Shabab will seek to exploit the political issues in the country and launch more attacks in the coming weeks.

An al-Shabab bomb blast killed one person and injured three others at the Bula Burte airport on Sunday. Several buildings were destroyed in the blast.
