China has broken three records in four days for the number of PLA aircraft sent into Taiwan's air defense identification zone (ADIZ).  This escalation was denounced by the United States and Taiwan and those statements were rebuffed by China.  China is clearly taking a more aggressive posture toward Taiwan and the Western powers operating in the region.  More incursions are likely in the coming days and miscalculations are possible which could lead to responses from both sides.

China flew 16 planes into Taiwan’s air defense identification zone (ADIZ). This comes after two record-breaking days of incursions by the PLA.

PLA aircraft enter Taiwan’s ADIZ on National Day
China flew at least 25 fighter jets into Taiwan’s air defense identification zone (ADIZ) on China’s National Day on Friday and Taiwan scrambled aircraft to monitor them. At least 18 J-16 and two H-6 aircraft took part in the incursion.

The deadliest attack since the allied evacuation took place on Sunday at a mosque in Kabul.  The Taliban launched operations to find those responsible in Kabul and also carried out operations in Nangarhar.  Attacks are likely to continue as the Taliban seeks to consolidate power and security in the country.  

Bomb blast kills several civilians in Kabul
A bomb blast outside of a mosque in Kabul killed at least 12 people and wounded at least 32 more on Sunday. Gunfire was also heard in the area after the explosion. ISIS-K terrorists killed in Kabul following an attack on a mosque
Taliban fighters launched an operation in Kabul Sunday evening following a bomb attack on the Eid Gah Mosque earlier in the day. The Taliban said that an undetermined number of ISIS-K militants were killed in the operations. Three others were arrested in connection with the mosque attack.
Taliban capture ISIS-K leader in Darai Nur district
Taliban fighters captured an ISIS-K leader during operations in the Darai Nur district of Nangarhar province on Sunday.
