Thirty-four members of the Anshor Daulah group, a local extremist group affiliated with ISIS, have renounced their allegiance and pledged loyalty to Indonesia. The group, which translates to "Helpers of the State (Caliphate)", had previously committed acts of violence across Indonesia. The deradicalization process was the result of a long-term assessment and outreach program by Indonesia's counterterrorism police unit, Densus 88. The former members will continue to be monitored to support their reintegration into society. This event took place on 06/27/2025 at the following location: Riau, Indonesia.
